Privacy Policy for AR Measure

Last updated: August 15, 2026

This policy explains what AR Measure ("the app") does and does not do with your data.

Summary

AR Measure does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer. There are no user accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no servers operated by the developer that the app talks to. Everything the app does happens on your device.

Camera

AR Measure requests the Camera permission (android.permission.CAMERA) because it is an augmented-reality app: it needs the live camera feed to detect surfaces and let you tap points in the real world to measure between them. Camera frames are processed entirely on-device, in real time, to render the AR view and to compute measurements. Camera images are not saved, stored, or transmitted anywhere by the app.

Google Play Services for AR (ARCore)

This application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy. ARCore may collect certain data from your device (such as camera and motion-sensor data) to power AR features and for Google's own analytics purposes, independent of the developer. See How Google Play Services for AR handles your data for details. AR Measure does not use ARCore Cloud Anchors or the ARCore Geospatial API, so no location or shared-anchor data is sent to Google through those features.

Permissions the app requests

PermissionWhy
CameraRequired for the AR view and to measure real-world distances

No other permissions (location, storage, contacts, network, etc.) are requested.

Data retention

Measurements you take exist only in the app's memory while it's open and are discarded when you clear them or close the app. Nothing persists to disk and nothing leaves your device.

Children's privacy

AR Measure is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this app starts collecting data in the future (e.g. crash reporting or analytics), this policy will be updated first and the update will be reflected in the app's Play Store listing.
